Jake Katzen

As Managing Director of Real Estate Investments, Jake Katzen plays a key leadership role in sourcing, executing, and managing real estate investments and opportunities. He is responsible for developing investment strategies, leading deal execution, managing portfolio assets, sourcing projects and fostering relationships with investors, lenders, and potential and existing partners. Prior to joining New Era, Jake spent eight years specializing in healthcare-related acquisitions at Virtus Real estate Capital, an institutional private equity firm focused on recession resilient asset classes. Jake has led transactions across the full risk spectrum—from development and opportunistic deals to core and core+ strategies, closing over $850 million in asset value across medical outpatient clinics, life sciences, behavioral health, and other specialty healthcare facilities. Jake holds a Master in Professional Accounting and a BBA in Finance with Honors from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
