Steve Polasek

As Executive Vice President of Operations, Steve Polasek supports New Era’s operations platform through systems development, cross-deal coordination, and project management across the company’s large scale development projects. Prior to New Era, Steve spent more than three decades in public service, primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including over half of that time as a city manager and/or assistant city manager. As city manager, he oversaw day-to-day municipal operations, including annual operating and capital improvement budgets exceeding $150 million and assets totaling approximately $1.0 billion. He has extensive experience in local and state regulations, government relations, capital improvements, community development, public-private partnerships, and local economic development. Steve has served on numerous boards and commissions throughout his career, most recently the Johnson County Economic Development Commission. Mr. Polasek received his bachelor’s degree in G.E.S. from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Texas, Arlington.
