Acquisition of Inpatient Rehabilitation Portfolio

December 11, 2025

W. P. Carey, a publicly traded net-lease REIT, announced the $137 million acquisition of a four-property inpatient rehabilitation portfolio developed by New Era Companies. The roughly 191,000-square-foot portfolio spans Indiana, Louisiana, Wisconsin, and Kansas, with each facility managed by Nobis Rehabilitation Partners — one of the country's largest and fastest-growing operators of freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. All four locations have earned Center of Excellence designation for rehabilitation and stroke care from the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality. As part of the transaction, W. P. Carey is also funding a bed expansion at the Kansas facility to meet demand. Daryn Eudaly, CEO of New Era Companies, called the partnership a continuation of the company's mission to expand access to high-quality rehabilitation care in the communities that need it most.
