Business leaders and elected officials gathered Thursday evening to cut the ribbon on Flower Mound’s long-awaited first hotel.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at The River Walk in Flower Mound celebrated their recent opening with a ribbon cutting by the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce.

Flower Mound Mayor Tom Hayden spoke during the ceremony, congratulating the hotel on the success it has already seen since opening September 29.

Hotel manager Amy Henrickson said that business is good and the hotel is booked solid for the upcoming week of Thanksgiving.

This five-story hotel features an indoor pool, fitness center, outdoor patio area complete with two fire pits, in addition to more than 9,000 square-feet of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 400 people as well as on-site catering. The Trinity Ballroom, featuring Riverwalk views is a perfect venue for a wedding reception or corporate event.
